CBS has given the green light to two family comedy pilot, an untitled comedy with Rob Schneider and grown, that '70s Show alum Jeff and Jackie Filgas.
Rob Schneider The untitled project, from CBS TV Studios and the Tannenbaum Company, was written by Schneider and fellow Saturday Night Live alum Lew Morton. It is based on Schneider's life and focuses on a lonely guy who marries a Mexican-American family. Morton, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men) are the executive producers, with Schneider John Schneider and his brother through their production of Prods nothing. This brand of Schneider's first television concert in 13 years. His latest is a series of the 1996-97 season, the men of the NBC comedy misbehave. Schneider has been adapted for the cinema, and more recently co-starred in adults. Jeff and Jackie Filgas Home Grown, Warner Bros.
TV comedy is a multi-camera blue collar guy struggling with his mother as an unmarried daughter and her grown son of 12 years and share a home with his wife and his recently widowed mother. Filgos wrote the screenplay and exec produce. Beth Lacke works as a consultant.
