According to sources who were in the Metropolis in Montreal last night, Lauryn Hill was released three hours late for his 21:30 show, just as it did in Brooklyn a couple of weeks ago! The nerve!
A source has revealed that Lauryn excuse for being so late had to do with the state of his voice. She explained that she had to let him relax because he was so cold outside.
But apparently, the time lost his voice does not help at all. Another concert-goer told us that it looked terrible songs and made "beyond recognition" the way they sang. The source added that everyone was royally sick of losing money because "we could not even go out with her" when done.
Then we read the review of his exhibition, which was nothing if not reasonable bite. The reviewer said:
"We're going to do tonight classical" Hill said to the crowd after a relatively unknown number of Bob Marley. "Of course we will recognize the words."
And yes, Lost Ones, one of many soloists Miseducation Lauryn Hill to the amount actually knew by heart, came next - it did not sound like much straight hip-hop gem that was on the album. It was more of a funk-rock jam that featured his group, who was Ex-Factor. Zion, the ballad moving tribute to her first child with Bob Marley's son Rohan, had a non-profit, jazzy keyboard solo, which seemed quite out of place.
This seemed to give credibility to these reports by deleting Hill beloved classic, which I normally do not regret the artist, who has played them ad nauseam in recent years. But because Hill has not exactly been a prolific artist in the last decade, and is not to set foot in Montreal, in most cases, a larger crowd-pleasing seemed so, especially since the wait endless. (How can you be tired of them already?) "
Wow. What are you doing this tour?
If we learned one thing from Lauryn these reports is that their fans are loyal. We do not know too many people put up with long waits to see an artist perform, to hear them sing songs that I had never heard before listening to their favorite or broken.
He is very lucky ... but for how long, the latest gem.
