Chelsea skipper John Terry is dreaming of snatching Wayne Rooney from Manchester United and labelled the striker "the best player in the world."
Terry, 29, has seen Rooney's talent at close hand while on England duty. With the player set for the Old Trafford exit door after he rejected a new contract, the centre-back is hopeful Roman Abramovich would stump up the cash.
"Wayne is the best young player in the world. I am no different to any other player in saying that," Terry told Sky Sports News.
"You obviously have to respect Manchester United and Wayne, but who knows what's going to happen.
"We've got a great squad of players and he would add to that and strengthen the squad. He is the best player in the world for me."
